The Astrophysical Connection

One of the key motivations often cited for QGP research is its astrophysical connection, namely that the early universe was in a QGP state shortly after its creation in the Big Bang. On a more pedestrian level, the cores of stellar objeccts, such as neutron stars are sufficiently dense that they may contain QCD matter at their center (either in confined or deconfined form). With this post we would like to point the reader to a brief selection of review articles providing an (incomplete) overview on the astrophysical connection of QCD and QGP research:
